Catan: Sunday 10AM to 4PM – 48 players. Cost $10.00 Prizes for top 16. LexiCon is proud to host a Qualifier for the Catan National Championship – U.S.! The winner will go to the Catan National Championship at Gen Con Indy in August 2017 and receive a seat in the Catan National Championship – U.S. Tournament, double occupancy hotel with another contestant, a 4 – day badge to Gen Con 2017, and travel compensation. (Please note that our Kentucky Champion shall be over the age of 18 and a US citizen to be eligible to represent Kentucky in the US Qualifier.) Formal.
NEW! Agricola: Qualifiers: Friday 4:00pm to 7:00. Sat. 10:00am to 1:00pm, Sat. 1:00pm to 4:00 Sat. 4:00pm to 7:00. FINAL Sunday at 11:00am to 2:00pm – 16 players. Cost $5.00 Prizes for each qualifying winner. The overall winner received a trip to Gen Con Indy in August 2017 and receive a seat in the Agricola National Championship Tournament, double occupancy hotel with another contestant, a 4 – day badge to Gen Con 2017, and travel compensation. (Please note that our Kentucky Champion shall be over the age of 18 and a US citizen to be eligible to represent Kentucky in the US Qualifier.) In Agricola, you’re a farmer in a wooden shack with your spouse and little else. On a turn, you get to take only two actions, one for you and one for the spouse, from all the possibilities you’ll find on a farm: collecting clay, wood, or stone; building fences; and so on. Formal.

Pandemic Survival: Friday 4pm to 6pm, Sat. 1pm to 3pm, Sun. 2pm to 4pm, 8 two person teams. Cost $5.00 First place for each session, qualifies for the national tournament at GenCon 2017 in August and gets a prize. Each team starts with the same role cards and the player deck is set up the same for each team prior to the game. One infection deck will be used for all teams so infections and epidemics will strike at the same time. The difference is the choices you make! Both Players must be 18 years old to win qualifier. Formal.
Fun Tournaments: While rules will be enforced, being TOO “serious” is discouraged. Some players may be new, or just learning these games.
Ticket to Ride Saturday 3:00pm to 7:00. Cost $2, 12-person limit. Play this very popular game by building train lines across the United States while competing with others to do the same. Everyone that plays, gets a prize. Informal. Sponsored by The Rusty Scabbard. Ages 12 +

New! Loopin Looey Friday 6:00pm to 7:00. Sunday 11:00am to Noon. Any ages. This fast paced, learn as you play game is fun for everyone. Each player tries to tip Looey into another players pieces. It is hilarious fun!

Valley of the Kings Friday 4:00pm to 6:00pm. 8 players. A challenging and unique deck driven game set in the Age of Pharaohs. Compete for a trophy and meet game designer Tom Cleaver.
Kentucky State Tournaments
The following tournaments are FREE! Envoy will be teaching these games throughout the weekend before the tournaments start! The winner of ANY of these Tournament will get a trophy, a copy of the game, plus a seat at the final round of the Southeast Regional Championship at Atlanta Game Fest (as well as a free badge to Atlanta Game Fest)!
The 2017 Kentucky State Diamonds Championship – Friday 8PM – 12AM – 16 players
This Stronghold game by Mike Fitzgerald is a trick-taking card game in which players collect actual “Diamonds Crystals”. What makes the game of Diamonds different from other trick-taking card games is that when you cannot follow suit you get a “Suit Action” based on what suit you do play. Suit Actions are also taken by the winner of each trick, as well as at the end of a full Round of play.
The 2017 Kentucky State Nevermore Championship – Saturday 9AM – 1PM – 16 players
This game from Smirk & Dagger is a casual-style, card-drafting game in which you quickly build your hand each round, collecting cards you want and poisoning your opponent’s hand by passing along cards you think they can’t use. Whoever holds the most of a given suit, gains the power of that suit to attack, heal, acquire Light or Shadow magicks and score victory points.
The 2017 Kentucky State Letter Tycoon Championship – Saturday 1PM – 5PM – 16 players
In the game, players take turns forming a word using a seven-card hand and a three-card community card pool, scoring money and stock rewards based on their word. Players may use their earned money to buy one letter “patent” in the word they make. In the future, whenever another player uses one of your owned letters on their turn, you earn money from the bank. Letters that are used less frequently have special abilities, increasing their power.
The 2017 Kentucky State Game of 49 Championship – Saturday 5PM – 8PM – 16 players
Starting with $49 apiece, players in The Game of 49 bid to buy spaces on the 49-square (7-by-7) game board. Randomly drawn number cards are auctioned one at a time, with the highest bidder placing a chip on the matching board space. The first player to claim four spaces in a row, in any direction, wins.
The 2017 Kentucky State Skull King Championship – Saturday 8PM – 12AM – 16 players
Brent Beck’s Skull King is a trick-taking game similar to Oh Hell!, Wizard and Spades, with players needing to state how many tricks they think they’ll win each round. Pirates and other special cards add to the strategy.
The 2017 Kentucky State Dimension Championship – Sunday 10AM – 2PM – 16 players
Dimension is a fast-paced, innovative puzzle game that takes place in three dimensions with 60 colorful spheres. All of the players play at the same time. The task cards indicate how the spheres must be placed to earn points. Complete these tasks while racing against the timer.
